General questions
1. What is the difference between a bench desk system and a standard office desk?
A bench system is a unified structure built on a shared frame, where multiple worktops are connected to a common base. Unlike individual desks, bench systems save space, simplify cable management, and are more cost-effective per workstation.
2. What is an ergonomic chair and why is it more expensive?
An ergonomic chair includes at least 4–5 adjustment points: seat height, seat depth, backrest angle, armrest position, and lumbar support. It is designed to support the natural curve of the spine during long working hours (8+ hours), helping to prevent work-related health issues.
3. What is the difference between MDF and chipboard furniture?
Chipboard (particle board) is a budget-friendly and practical standard for office furniture. MDF is denser and allows for decorative milling, as well as finishes like paint or veneer. MDF is more commonly used in executive offices for a more refined look.
4. What is “cable management” in Sigma desks?
Cable management refers to a system for organizing and hiding wires: built-in desk grommets, cable trays under the desk, and vertical cable spines. It keeps the workspace tidy and ensures safe use of electrical equipment.
5. Why are acoustic panels (screens) needed?
Acoustic panels not only visually separate workspaces in open-plan offices but also absorb noise thanks to soft filling and special fabric. This can improve employee concentration by 20–30%.
Office Planning & Selection
6. How do I calculate the number of furniture pieces for my space?
We recommend allocating 4 to 6 m² per workstation, including walkways and storage areas. Our specialists can create a 2D or 3D layout tailored to your space measurements.
7. What furniture colors are best for a modern office?
Natural wood textures (such as Sonoma oak, anthracite, and white) combined with metal frames are currently trending. Light tones visually expand space, while darker tones (like walnut or wenge) add a more executive feel.
8. Can furniture from different collections be combined?
Yes, most of our collections share unified color palettes for chipboard and metal frames. You can combine executive office furniture with storage units or shelves from operational series while maintaining a cohesive interior style.
9. What is the standard height of an office desk?
The standard desk height is 750 mm, which suits an average-height person. For added comfort, we recommend desks with adjustable legs to compensate for uneven flooring.
10. Do you offer furniture for reception and waiting areas?
Yes, we design custom reception desks based on your measurements and offer modular sofas and chairs that are durable and easy to maintain.
Usage & Quality
11. What is the maximum load capacity of your metal-frame desks?
Our desks are designed to support a static load of up to 80–100 kg, allowing you to safely place heavy office equipment and monitors.
12. Are the desk surfaces resistant to scratches and spills?
We use high-density laminated chipboard (E1 emission class). The surface is resistant to heat, moisture, and mechanical damage, though we recommend using coasters for hot items.
13. What warranty do Sigma furniture products come with?
We provide a warranty of 18 to 60 months for our case furniture, depending on the collection. Hardware and chair mechanisms are covered for at least 12 months.
14. How should office furniture be maintained for long-term use?
Simply wipe surfaces with a damp microfiber cloth. Avoid aggressive chemicals and abrasive cleaners. Metal parts can be cleaned with a dry cloth.
Service, Delivery & Installation
15. Do the furniture items come assembled?
For safe transportation, furniture is delivered flat-packed in secure packaging. Each item includes assembly instructions.
16. Do you offer professional installation services?
Yes, we have our own installation team. We recommend professional assembly, especially for complex systems and executive offices, to maintain the warranty and ensure proper functionality.
17. What is the production lead time if an item is not in stock?
The standard production time is 5 to 15 business days, depending on the order size and complexity.
18. Do you work with VAT and legal entities?
Yes, we are a VAT-registered company. We provide a full set of accounting documents, including contracts, invoices, and delivery notes.
19. Can furniture be ordered in custom sizes?
We specialize in serial production, but for larger projects (10+ workstations), we can adjust designs or manufacture elements based on your specifications.
20. Do you have a showroom where we can test chairs and see materials?
Yes, we invite you to visit our showroom, where you can evaluate build quality, choose chipboard colors, and select upholstery materials from real samples.
