Furniture collection inspired by nature
We set out to create something genuinely unique — not just another product, but a design that clearly stands out. At the same time, it was important to stay true to our philosophy of “nothing unnecessary”: creating something that feels relevant today while remaining timeless. We also see a growing need for office environments that feel more human — warmer, more comfortable and closer to nature — alongside an increasing focus on long-lasting, responsible design. This direction was further strengthened through collaboration with Gensler, a global architecture and design firm serving as a product design consultant, resulting in the BOTANY collection.
BOTANY by NARBUTAS is a nature-inspired collection of tables and visitor chairs, designed to create inviting and functional office environments. Technology and craftsmanship come together to shape not only the form of the product, but also the experience of everyday use. BOTANY is ideal for contemporary offices seeking a balance between functionality and a welcoming, human-centric atmosphere.
BOTANY draws inspiration from the layers, contours, and connections found in the natural world — notably the botanical world — transforming these elements into forms that feel warm, grounded, human, and refined, yet practical for everyday use.
GENSLER
Nature-inspired design
The poetic form and layered construction of the wooden table base recall overlapping leaves or tree growth rings, with a subtly sculpted silhouette that creates a distinct identity. The base designs in the BOTANY collection reflect natural motifs, from tree trunks to bamboo. These forms combine visual lightness with functionality, ensuring comfort and usability in everyday environments — a unique expression of nature in furniture. Attention to the smallest details runs throughout the entire collection — from precisely finished edges to seamlessly integrated elements — creating an elegant, architectural expression.
A wide selection of table types
BOTANY offers a range of table types to suit different needs and spaces, including meeting, high and coffee tables. Available in round, oval and racetrack shapes, they come with metal or wooden bases.
A fusion of technology and craftsmanship
A unique 3D veneer bending technology is used across both tables and chairs, enabling a natural aesthetic and complex, sculptural forms. Table edge solutions are adapted to different base types: for metal bases, MDF Valchromat with rounded edges is used, while wooden bases feature HPL or pressed veneer with a milled solid wood edge. Rounded edges enhance the tactile experience, making everyday use more comfortable.
A unified collection for creating harmonious spaces
BOTANY is a versatile collection that creates harmonious spaces with a consistent design language. It offers a ready-made solution, with tables and chairs designed to match, ensuring visual consistency and simplifying the selection process across wooden and metal base options.
Developed with sustainability in mind
High sustainability standards are applied across the entire development process. This includes material selection, certifications and production solutions, using FSC-, CARB- and E05-certified, recyclable and water-based materials wherever possible. Natural materials such as veneer and solid wood are also prioritised. Non-traditional solutions are also applied, such as the use of recycled metal offcuts for counterweights. The products are manufactured in the NARBUTAS factory using 100% green electricity. The approach considers the full product life cycle, ensuring responsible choices from design to end use.
